Dartmoor Wild Camping
We have two main campsites available for wild camping on Dartmoor.
Riverside Campsite
- Natural camping site.
- Spans the Cowsic river with an ancient clapper bridge.
- Peaceful and tranquil.
- Sheltered from most winds.
- Communal fire pits.
- Nearby parking.
- Boggy in places, insect repellant is highly advisable during warmer months and the river can become a raging torrent during high rainfall – please be very aware of this if you have children.
- Can be booked for exclusive use.
- Composting toilet only provided June–August. Available to hire the rest of the year.

Leat Campsite
- Situated in a field alongside the Devonport Leat.
- Well sheltered from the prevailing south-westerly wind.
- Spectacular views across the surrounding moorland.
- Within 100 metres of vehicle access.
- Suitable for larger groups such as schools or Duke of Edinburgh.
- Exclusive use not available.
- Composting toilet provided all year round.
Facilities
- Water available from a tap just outside the farmyard.
- Firewood available, £5 per bag (softwood).
- No other facilities are available.

Prices
Please note that in addition to the prices below we charge a small fee to cover the cost of our online booking service. The fee will be shown in the checkout.
Dogs are free but must be well behaved, particularly around livestock.
Prior booking is essential.
Riverside Campsite
September–May
£5 per person per night.
No toilet provided. Composting toilet available to hire – please contact us to book.
June–August
£10 per adult per night.
£5 per child (under 14) per night.
Composting toilet provided.
Exclusive Use
£125 per night for up to 20 people, above that £5 extra per person per night. Please contact us to book.
Leat Campsite
£5 per person per night all year round.
Youngsters (under 4) free.
Composting toilet provided all year round.
Camper van pitches
September–May: £10 per van per night.
June–August: £15 per van per night.
Firewood
£5 per bag (softwood).
