Overnight Parking for Camper Vans

Overnight parking in roadside lay-bys and public car parks is not allowed on Dartmoor. So if you want to stay overnight on Dartmoor in your camper van, you must do so on private land.

We have a limited number of overnight parking spots for up to medium-sized camper vans on our Leat campsite.

Please note that the parking area is in a field and not levelled or surfaced. Very wet weather may cause the ground to be soft.

Important Notes

• There are no power hookups, toilets, showers or other facilities. An outside water is tap is available in the farmyard.
• The farm track is an unmade road and may have potholes and puddles during wet weather.
• Off-ground fire pits are permitted.
• Firewood available, £5 per bag (softwood).
• No WiFi, but reasonable 4G/5G signal is available, with EE and Vodafone strongest.
• Dogs are allowed but must be well behaved, particularly around livestock.

Prior booking is essential.

September–May: £10 per van per night.
June–August: £15 per van per night.
