Camping Pod

If you prefer a slightly less wild camping experience, we have a camping pod that sleeps up to 4 people. It’s located in a tree-lined clearing sheltered from the worst of the Dartmoor weather.

The pod has electricity, heating, double bed, sofa bed, basic bathroom facilities (including a flushing toilet and hot power shower) plus a fire pit with grill, picnic table and undercover seating area.

• Single camping pod on its own site.
• Exclusive use of the site.
• Separate from our wild camping sites.
• Centrally located on Dartmoor.
• Adjacent parking for up to 2 vehicles.
• Fire pit with grill – firewood can be ordered when booking.
• Benches and open air picnic table.
• Additional undercover seating area.
• £70 per night (2 nights minimum stay).
• Bedlinen for the double bed can be hired when booking for £15.
• We also charge a small booking fee to cover credit/debit card processing charges. The fee will be shown in the checkout.

Sleeping Accommodation

• Fully insulated timber pod with opening double-glazed windows.
• Sleeps up to 4 people.
• Double bed (bedlinen available to hire for £15).
• Small sofa bed (bedlinen not provided).
• Interior lighting.
• Electric sockets.
• Electric oil radiator.
• Hygienic vinyl floor covering.
• Decked porch area with outside light.
• Code lock on the door for security.

Bathroom

• Timber structure divided into 2 cubicles.
• Flushing toilet with washbasin (cold water only).
• Hot electric power shower.
• Outdoor kitchen sink (cold water only).

Undercover Seating Area

• Open fronted timber structure.
• Picnic table seating up to 4 people.

Important Notes

• Small fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and fire pit with grill provided, but no other appliances, cooking facilities or utensils – outdoor cooking only, or there are several pubs, cafés and restaurants locally.
• Cold water only – apart from the electric power shower, hot water isn’t available.
• Bring torches – the site has limited outdoor lighting.
• Firewood available to buy – please order when booking.
• Working farmyard nearby – there may be some noise from machinery, vehicles, livestock and dogs.
• Unfortunately no dogs – due to our own dogs being in the nearby farmyard.
• The farm track is an unmade road – it may have potholes and puddles during wet weather.
• No WiFi – however reasonable 4G signal is available, with EE and Vodafone strongest.
• We may change the layout occasionally – all the structures are portable.
• Prior booking is essential.
